Duck images from Hasana

Will update this post with some more images of ducks and other water birds.

1. Lesser Whistling-Duck (Dendrocygna javanica)

It was quite heartening to see the cute chick trying to get into its parent's wings. There were few more chicks wandering happily around.

2. Bronze-winged Jacana (Metopidius indicus)

Here is one of the bold chicks who wanted to venture on its own putting its delicate foot on tender lotus leaves.

4. Cotton Pygmy-goose (Nettapus coromandelianus)

This is the 2nd time I saw this beauty. First time near in Sagara town of Shimoga district, in "Ganesha-kere", more than a year ago. The bird is absolutely black and white. So, I wondered how it would look to convert the surroundings into B&W leaving the bird untouched. Here is the result:

Latest update on 18-July-2008...

Testing to see how to add Google Map to my blog works. All I did was:
1. Went to http://maps.google.com and located the place I wanted to show.
2. Clicked on "Link to this Page" on the top right corner.
3. Clicked on "Customize and preview embedded map"
4. Pasted the content under the section "Copy and paste this HTML to embed in your website" to this post.

Yet to find out how to add points to the map to show the points of interests. I hate doing these programmatically :-(
