Feel the monsoon - aDDa-hoLe

Visited Bisale range on 28th and 29th of June 2008. It was pouring all over the place. Birds must have been sitting cosily deep in the moist deciduous forests of this part of the Western Ghats.

The aDDa-hoLe (ಅಡ್ಡಹೊಳೆ) had good water carrying down to kumAra-dhAra (ಕುಮಾರಧಾರ). Attempted few panorama snaps, which do not appear to have come satisfactorily. I was lazy enough to use tripod for panoramas. Now different frames do not match well. However, I did not forget to take simple wide angle shots and am satisfied with some good images.

In the above picture, I was particular about capturing the mountain ranges in the background. Under exposed the image by -1.3 stops to ensure that the flowing water is well captured. My basic Nikon Coolpix 8400 has done good job here.

This place is a paradise.

Latest update - 9th July 2008:

I was not happy with earlier attempt to stitch the images (refer to third para above). But, another attempt, I was lucky enought to achieve some success. See the difference between a panorama (created by stitching images) and a regular image taken at wide angle.
