Paradise on the earth called "Brahmagiri"
Over the weekend (24-25 May 2008), I gave a very short visit to Brahmagiris Wildlife Sanctuary. It was my first visit. I was fortunate enough to catch some good photographs of Broad-tailed Grassbird (Schoenicola platyura).
Here are some of the images...hope you enjoy them.
There was a Red-whiskered Bulbul (Pycnonotus jocosus), giving out continuous calls near the forest department on Saturday morning. I have got some decent, passport images of this bird. But, the following images made of "fluke" attempts are what I got attracted at :-)

6. Young one of Pied Bushchat (Saxicola caprata), is the another bird I could photograph on the hill top.
Who says black is not beautiful? It's been my dream to take a goodie photograph of a crow. Hope I have done some justice here.On the morning of Saturday, spent some time in Srimangala waiting for Forest Department personnel, before proceeding to Irpu from where the climb actually starts. That is when I took the following photographs.

The grassbird images are pretty beautiful. Not sure if the passport images of the bulbul will be accepted by the passport authorities though ;-)
